Post-Kind of a Big Deal DJ Party
Wow, what a weekend! It was Kind of a Big Deal! And we’re all exhausted, elated, and energized, so let’s keep it going! Dancing this coming Friday is a great way to shake off the blues and this dreary weather.
Come on out, bring a couple friends or family members along, and swing out. DJs Andrew Selzer (Kind of a Big Deal winner!) and DJ Paul Loschak (DJ Loveshack) will keep us on the floor with their tunes!
New dancers welcomed here! No experience or partner required.

Continue the Kind of a Big Deal dance party on Saturday night at Hibernian Hall with music by Gordon Webster Band featuring powerhouse vocalist Charles Turner!
Pianist Gordon Webster is one of the most sought after musicians in the lindy hop world. His tremendous musicianship and passion, supported by his first-hand knowledge of social dancing, have inspired lindy hoppers at hundreds of dance events worldwide. Drawing on influences as diverse as Fats Waller, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Gene Harris, Webster serves up a smorgasbord of styles unified by one characteristic: irresistible danceability.

Kind of a Big Deal – Falty & The Defects
Kick off the Friday night of Kind of a Big Deal Weekend at the beautiful Hibernian Hall with music by Falty & The Defects! (We are NOT at Extreme Dancesport this week!) Enjoy social dancing and cheering for competitions!
Falty & the Defects like to play, good old fashioned, hard swinging jazz and blues for ass shaking audiences. Falty & the Defects play everything, from sultry and slow to energetic and silly. They have a way of getting people to start to tap their foot or to shake uncontrollably. They have an infectious energy that spreads from the stage to the audience from the first downbeat. They are first and foremost a dance band, but listening audiences will be drawn in by their instrumentation, dynamics, and musicality.

Phil McGowan & The Easy Winners
Phil McGowan & the Easy Winners, BSC favorites, will join us at Extreme Dancesport for another high energy gig! With their New Orleans inspired hot jazz tunes, they will get you out onto the floor all night! The Easy Winners always get the crowd moving when they play for us and and this Friday will be no exception. Digging deep into their catalog of hits from the past, they’ll light fire to tunes like the 1921 Eddie Cantor hit: “Margie” and Louis Armstrong’s “You Rascal You”.
